Companioning Series for Claretian Alumni

The Claretian Alumni Councilcontinuesto discuss ways we can connect as alumni brothers. Exploring the spiritual aspect of being human is a program we think would be of interest to alumni because of our shared experience with the Claretians. This is an opportunity to participate in a ministry of presence for each other. Think of this as companionship or willingness to journey with each other as we move through this stage of life. We will utilize Zoom for our meetings.
In our meetings, we will be privileged witnesses in the spiritual unfolding of others, discerning the movement of the Spirit in our lives. We welcome all alumni – practicing and non-practicing Catholics as well as those who may have moved to other faiths or practices.
For the program to be beneficial, participants agree to:

  • Commit themselves to an honest relationship with God(as you define him).
  • Participate whole-heartedly in the group process through prayerful listening and response.
  • Open their spiritual journey for consideration by others.

Bob Fargo, a deacon of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, located in Camarillo, CA, a Spiritual Director, member of Dominguez Class of ’69, is leading this initiative. Robert Carey ’64 is working with him. Both serve on the Claretian Alumni Council.
We are anxious to gauge an idea of alumni interest. Would you like to participate, or at least investigate the idea? If so, please take a moment to respond to the questions below.
